Programs & Departments
Upon arrival, each student is assigned to a team. A team consists of a representative from each department: Education, Clinical, Employment, Recreation and Case Management. This ensures that every student gets the attention they need from each available resource. The student’s team is committed to understanding the student’s needs and setting appropriate goals.
Education Services:
The education department is made up of licensed teaching personnel who are committed to provide necessary one-on-one instruction, help in obtaining desired diplomas, support in registering for college classes, and a wide variety of elective courses on campus including music, art, drama, history and more.
Clinical Services:
Our clinical staff members help with student needs in the areas of psychotherapy, recreational therapy and fitness. They are trained and able to provide bio and neuro feedback interventions, nursing evaluations, psychological evaluations and teach psycho-educational workshops. When necessary, they also mediate and advocate for the students when working with the community.
Employment Services:
Besides offering a wide range of on-campus jobs, our employment department teaches students how to find and keep employment in the community. They help students plan a career path in classes like Vocational Preparation and Career Choices. Career counseling is provided to each student who has taken these courses along with help in direct job placement.
Case Management Services:
The goal of a case manager is to develop and implement a service plan based on each student’s strengths, needs and challenges. They provide regular coaching and core management services to set and achieve personal goals as well as tutor in areas of independent living skills such as budgeting, personal hygiene, cleaning, shopping and cooking. Each case manager coordinates outside services for the student and supports them in processing applications and documents for financial entitlements.
